What is SAMe Liver Health used for?

SAMe Liver Health is a vet-recommended liver supplement for cats and dogs that helps to maintain optimal health and function of the liver using ingredients that can be effectively absorbed and used by the body.

This liver supplement for small dogs and cats is formulated with 90 mg of SAMe (S-Adenosyl-Methionine) per tablet. If youre looking for liver support for medium to large dogs, SAMe Liver Health for Dogs is formulated with 225 mg of SAMe per tablet, and is recommended for dogs over 13 lbs.

SAMe Liver Health comes in an unflavored, enteric-coated tablet, making it ideal for pets with sensitive digestion. The enteric coating helps to protect the nutrients from stomach acid so they can be absorbed in the small intestine. For best results, give SAMe Liver Health on an empty stomach one hour prior to feeding.

SAMe vs. milk thistle: which is better for my pet?

Both SAMe and milk thistle are commonly recommended by veterinarians to help support liver health in both dogs and cats. Both promote liver function by supporting cell health to help the liver remove harmful substances from the body. SAMe supports the production of glutathione, a powerful antioxidant that helps support healthy detoxification. Milk thistle, which contains the antioxidant silybin, can help maintain a healthy oxidative balance in the liver and support the bodys natural production of SAMe.

    Has lowered my cat's ALT and ALP

    My cat has had elevated ALT and ALP during regular bloodwork for her diabetes and kidney disease. I began using this to see if I could get her liver enzymes in check. This has lowered her ALT and ALP steadily over the last couple of months and her most recent blood work showed normal ALT and ALP. Will continue to use. She's 20 lbs, but we give just once a day.

    So far, so good

    My dog Roxie has been on this product for over a week. As of now, there have been no adverse reactions and she is able to easily consume the pill. I was very happy to find a pill that was closer to her weight category of 5.8 pounds.

    Very responsive team and great product

    My dog has done well through two difficult episodes of spinal arthritis and inflammation with a combo of rest and the use of Vetri-disc. It seems to help relieve arthritis both in her neck/back and in her joints. When I asked the company if the product could be rushed for this latest episode, customer service was on it and made it happen. Very thankful!
